Fix for Crash on Save/Load (Windows 8) So I was getting random crashes with Windows 8, and I found what appears to be a workaround. First, go to library, and under launch options for RCT2, enter '-winxp'. That sets it to windows XP compatibility mode. I think crashes make the ride depreciate even more than it normally would. But if your design is prone to crashing, you may prefer to take the opportunity to redesign it. When testing a ride, you can use the same reset (double clicking the red traffic light) to prevent a crash that you can see is about to happen.
